Mouse River Outfitters Waterfowl Packages in North Dakota
Every fall, thousands of Canada geese, snow geese, ducks and other waterfowl choose the fertile prairie wheat lands of North Dakota as a staging area for their southerly migrations. While snow geese, blues, Canada geese and ducks are our main focus; the afternoon will also provide you with the opportunity to hunt grouse and pheasant. Once you're here, we'll take care of all food, lodging, meals, game processing and guiding.
Our waterfowl package are set up on four nights lodging/ three-day hunting schedules. Please feel free to add extra days to your package. Our hunts are conducted in dry fields as well as small ponds and lakes which afford some fantastic shooting. Our upland hunting takes place on a magnificent spread of private land. We scout every afternoon, and we'll be in the flight line in the morning. Our guides will put out anywhere from five to fifty dozen full bodied and silhouette decoys. We use final approach chairs and custom camouflage blankets to get the birds in your face.
One guide to every four to eight hunters will accompany the group out to the hunting area in the morning. The way to ruin a great hunting experience is to try to accomodate too many guns over a given spread. Therefore, at Mouse River outfitters, we hunt a minimum of four guns and maximum of eight guns per spread. this allows for a safe outing and at the same time, offers the finest possible shooting opportunity for each of our guests. We not only offer full day packages, but also morning only packages for those who are not interested in hunting upland game in the afternoon.
